Koontz Electric presented safety award

Koontz Electric in Morrilton was recently recognized with the Accumulative Years Safety Award.

Arkansas Department of Labor Deputy Director of Labor Ralph Hudson and Arkansas Workers Compensation Commission Director of Health and Safety Division Patricia Hart presented the award. It recognizes Koontz for working two years without a lost time accident. It validates Koontz Electric’s commitment to employee safety with extensive training, corporate culture and total dedication to safe work practices.

Out of approximately 72,000 businesses in Arkansas eligible for the award, Koontz Electric is one of the nine companies to receive the award this year.

Koontz Electric’s corporate safety mantra is “Zero is Achievable.” Koontz employees are looking forward to the next milestone, One Million Work Hour Award.  

As of Nov. 25, 2018, Koontz Electric has worked two years 111 days, 912,310 manhours without a lost time accident or OSHA recordable accident.

Employees, community leaders and others were on hand as Koontz Electric received a state safety award.
