09 Mar 2015 K.C. Koala gives health and safety tips
K.C. Koala, the Unity Health – White County Medical Center mascot, recently made a surprise visit to the children at First United Methodist Church Preschool and Childcare Center in Searcy. The students were excited to see K.C. in person and eagerly demonstrated the correct way to cough and sneeze into the bend of their arms as K.C. applauded for them.
As part of the hospital’s mission to create a healthy community, Unity Health – WCMC provides K.C. as a loveable and helpful teaching tool in educating children about eating healthy, the importance of exercising and proper hand washing techniques.
For more information about inviting K.C. Koala to a school, daycare or organization, please contact the Unity Health Event Specialist at 501.278.3230 or [email protected].
