The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton Foundation recently hosted its ninth annual “Just Desserts” fundraiser.

The sweets-filled event was held at the UACCM Plaza and featured impressive all-you-can-eat desserts donated by area bakeries and restaurants as well as faculty, staff and foundation board members. Attendees also had a selection of savory snacks, including Petit Jean meat and cheese trays.

During the last eight years, the foundation has raised more than $40,000 at the event with proceeds used to purchase a baby grand piano, audio and video equipment and a large outdoor tent for special events. This year, money raised will be used for the school’s 50th anniversary events.

The evening also included a silent and raffle auction and door prizes.
