18 Aug 2014 Infant nutrition will be discussed at Great Start Lactation Club
Kayla Fuller, a registered dietitian with the WIC program, will discuss infant nutrition at the Saturday, Aug. 23, meeting of the Great Start Lactation Club at Conway Regional Medical Center.
Fuller works primarily with pregnant and breastfeeding women and children under the age of 5 in the WIC program. She will discuss the introduction of complimentary foods to their babies as well as address questions about nutrition during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
The Club for expectant, new and experienced mothers meets at 10 a.m. the fourth Saturday of each month, in the conference room of the medical center.
The Lactation Club surrounds mothers with a group of like-minded women to provide support, advice, best practices and other assistance to help with nursing their babies. The group also recognizes milestones in the babies’ lives and performs infant weight checks.
All pregnant and breastfeeding mothers are invited to attend. Light refreshments will be served. For more information, call 501.513.5721.
