HOT SPRINGS: Trojans looking to repeat as 5A South champs

Conference: 5A South
Coach: Chris Vereen
’14 Record: 7-5 (6-1)

The Hot Springs Trojans nearly ran the table in the 5A South last year, ultimately tying for first place with a 6-1 conference mark after going winless in non-conference play.

Junior Ethan O’Riley will start at quarterback. Senior Cleo Floyd returns at running back after an all-state campaign last fall.

Junior receiver Nehemiah Dangerfield will be the Trojans’ No. 1 target at receiver. Seniors Jacob McNeil, Dante Ibarra, Nicho Fortanelli and Oscar Rondoni lead the way on the offensive line.

Ibarra was an all-state performer on the defensive line. Kamar Brown also earned all-state honors last fall at linebacker. Floyd is a three-year starter in the secondary at safety.
