The Seventh Annual “Hoof It for Heifer” 20K Trail Run will be held Saturday, April 14, on the Boy Scouts of America trail at Petit Jean State Park. 

The fundraiser is organized by the Heifer Volunteer Group based in Conway. 

In its first six years, the event generated $30,500 for Heifer International, a nonprofit, humanitarian organization dedicated to ending hunger and poverty while caring for the Earth. (See heifer.org for information.)

This year, proceeds will benefit Heifer USA, a domestic initiative in Arkansas that empowers local food and farm entrepreneurs, growing living wage jobs, and increases access to healthy local food for all.

A variety of sponsorship levels are available and monetary donations are tax deductible.

Organizers expect about 225 runners to come from Arkansas and neighboring states for the event.
