A Festival of Trees & Christmas Open House is being hosted by His Kaleidoscope Ministry at the Harper Alexander House from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1.
A variety of outreach programs and nonprofits will have themed decorated trees throughout the house. Viewing each of the trees in their designated room will provide a walking tour of the historic Harper Alexander house. Guests will vote by making a $1 donation/vote for their favorite tree. All donations will be kept by the featured program. Cash prizes will also be awarded to the winning trees … $300 for first place, $150 for second place and $50 for third place.
Organizations that will be hosting trees are Dorcas House, New Hearts Ministry/Christian Jobs Corp, Declare His Glory, Pulaski County Humane Society, The Greg Foundation, Arkansas Alzheimer’s, Lock & Key Ministry, Lonoke County Single Parent Scholarship Fund, Empowering International Ministries, Lonoke County Task Force on Child Abuse & Neglect/Open Arms Shelter, Arkansas Joyful Journey, PATH (Partners Against Human Trafficking), A Woman’s Place, The Verandah Garden Club/The Harper-Alexander House Prayer & Healing Garden and His Kaleidoscope Ministry.
