CONWAY — Some mascots enter the scene quietly. Others, like Altus — Hendrix College’s newest pride and powerhouse — burst onto campus and instantly raise the bar. This bold, orange-loving spirit machine is more than just a face on the sidelines — he’s the heart of a movement. And that’s why he was named Mascot of the Month for May 2025 by Street Characters, Inc.
Debuting in Fall 2024, Altus may be new, but he’s already proven he was born for this.
Meet Altus – The Warrior’s Newest Weapon
From day one, Altus has been all in—hyping up the Hendrix Warriors on the football field, firing up the fans in the basketball arena, and already dreaming about all the games to come. Whether he’s shooting hoops at Garrison Court or showing off his hidden talents (shhh … those are still classified), Altus lives and breathes Hendrix pride.
He’s not just ready for what’s next—he’s hungry for it. Especially if it includes more of those gourmet burgers from the Hendrix Cafeteria.
Next year, he’ll be right there on the sidelines for Hendrix’s brand-new Women’s Flag Football team and leading the charge into the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC). New teams, new rivalries, and new chances to show what true Warrior spirit looks like.
