22 Jul 2013 Heber Springs hosts 27th annual World Championship Cardboard Boat Races
The 27th Annual World Championship Cardboard Boat Races will be held Saturday, July 27, at Sandy Beach in Heber Springs.
Races begin at 10 a.m.
The 2013 theme is "Sailing with the Superheroes."
Special recognition is planned in several categories, including the Captain’s Award for the most creative team and boat and the Titanic Award for the best and most dramatic sinking.
Other activities are planned – from a treasure dig and watermelon eating contest to a volleyball tournament and food vendors.
