19 Jan 2015 Harvest of Hope reports record-setting collection
It was a record-setting year for the 2014 Harvest of Hope Food Drive in Conway County.
The Conway County Care Center collected 15,320 items with an approximate value of $26,203. Also, cash donations from the Harvest of Hope Food Drive totaled $9,901.85. Donations also included 400 toothbrushes given by Kroger.
In 2013, 12,533 items and cash donations of $3,973.93 were collected.
2014 was a busy year for the Conway County Care Center, which assisted 418 households representing 638 adults and 400 children.
Organizers expressed their appreciation to those who gave through the Harvest of Hope Food Drive and all year long.
A special thank-you was extended to 501 LIFE, KVOM, Morrilton Community Channel 6, the Petit Jean Headlight, the River Valley and Ozark Edition of the Arkansas Democrat Gazette and About River Valley for publicizing the Harvest of Hope Food Drive.
