09 Apr 2025 Harding’s Wyatt Gilbert earns All-District honors
SEARCY — Harding University men’s basketball standout Wyatt Gilbert has been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team, the organization announced Tuesday. The Academic All-District teams recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their outstanding achievements in the classroom and on the court.

Gilbert, a senior guard from Mountain Home, Arkansas, has maintained a stellar grade point average while being a key contributor for the Bisons. He is majoring in marketing and boasts a 4.00 GPA.
On the court this season, Gilbert has been a significant presence for the Bisons, averaging 6.8 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game. His leadership and performance were instrumental in Harding winning the 2025 Great American Conference Tournament championship. He averaged 10.3 points per game during Harding’s tournament run.
To be nominated for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50, must have participated in at least 90 percent of the team’s games, and must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically.
Gilbert’s recognition marks the 11th CoSIDA/CSC Academic All-District honor for the Harding men’s basketball team. Samuel Henderson earned the honor in 2023-24.
