10 Feb 2018 Harding’s College of Nursing ranked best state program

The Harding University Carr College of Nursing has been recognized as the Best RN Program in Arkansas by RegisteredNursing.org, a national organization dedicated to providing students with all the information possible to make the right choice when selecting a nursing school.

Twenty-six Arkansas schools met the qualifications to be considered for the achievement with the top 10 receiving a ranking.

"The success of the Carr College of Nursing BSN graduates speaks to their passion and commitment to professional nursing,” said Dr. Susan Kehl, dean of the college.

The criteria used to determine the ranking is primarily based on student performance on the NCLEX-RN exam, which is used by all state boards of nursing across the United States to help assess a student’s competency and is required for licensure. NCLEX-RN pass rates were analyzed going back to the most recent years of data available up to five years.

“The faculty and I are proud of all graduates for their work ethic and sacrifice,” Kehl said. “We believe the BSN graduates are committed to excellence and serving patients and families with compassion. The faculty are committed to the Christian mission of the University and strive to provide a supportive environment as the nursing students develop in their professional roles."
