Harding Men’s Soccer duo earns academic accolades

SEARCY — Harding University men’s soccer players Inigo Chavarria and Oliver Eckhardt received Academic All-District accolades from College Sports Communicators.

Chavarria, a junior goalkeeper from Jaca, Spain, boasts a 3.53 GPA as an exercise science major. He started 16 of 17 games played.

Eckhardt, a sophomore defender from Freiburg, Germany, maintains a perfect 4.00 GPA while studying sport and recreation management. He started 14 of 16 games played.

To qualify, student-athletes must reach sophomore status academically and athletically, hold a 3.50 GPA or higher and participate in 90% of games or start 66%.
