09 Jul 2025 Harding Golfer earns Academic All-America honors
SEARCY — Harding University women’s golfer Sarah Kmiecik has been named to the College Sports Communicators Second Team Academic All-America, recognizing her exceptional achievements both on the course and in the classroom.

Kmiecik, a senior athletically and a graduate student academically, maintained a perfect 4.00 undergraduate grade-point average at Hardin-Simmons University before transferring to Harding for the 2024-25 academic year. She continued her academic excellence at Harding, earning a 4.00 GPA while pursuing a graduate degree in kinesiology and sport administration.
Her stellar academic record was matched by an outstanding performance during the 2024-25 golf season. Kmiecik posted a 74.20 stroke average over 25 rounds across 10 events. She recorded six top-10 finishes, including four top-five placements, and tied for first at the Arkansas Collegiate in March.
Kmiecik’s performance set new Harding school records for single-season scoring average (74.2), individual winning percentage (.857), and rounds of par or better (seven).
She is only the third Harding women’s golfer in program history to receive Academic All-America honors, joining Taren Swindle (third team in 2008) and Brooklyn Terry (third team in 2019).
