Harding Football remains at No. 2 in AFCA poll

SEARCY – Harding football is ranked No. 2 in the American Football Coaches Association Poll for the fourth straight week after its 31-12 victory at Southern Arkansas on Saturday. The Bisons have been ranked in 81 consecutive polls.

This week Harding returns home to host Ouachita Baptist for a 7 p.m. kickoff Saturday at First Security Stadium.

The Bisons appear in the top three nationally in several statistical categories. Harding leads the nation in rushing offense (451.), scoring defense (6.3) and red zone defense (20.0). The Bisons are second in total defense (204.7) and total defense (204.7) and third nationally in total offense (485.3), scoring offense (45.0) and first downs allowed (37).

Individually, junior Andrew Miller leads the Great American Conference and ranks second in NCAA Division II with 8.54 yards per carry. Braden Jay leads the conference with four rushing touchdowns, and Clark Griffin tops on the GAC with 10.7 tackles per game.
