Harding drops 3-1 decision at OBU, remains second in GAC standings

ARKADELPHIA — Jacey Lambert hammered a career-high 18 kills but Harding fell 25-19, 23-25, 25-22, 25-19 to Ouachita Baptist on Monday at the Sturgis Physical Education Center. Despite the loss, Harding remained in second place in the GAC standings.

The match marked the 100th all-time meeting between the two programs, with Harding maintaining a 73-27 lead in the series.

Harding (17-8, 10-3 GAC) was out-hit by the Tigers (16-9, 7-6 GAC) .296 to .183.

Lambert’s 18 kills led the Lady Bisons, followed closely by Skyler McKinnon’s 12. Delaney Garner added nine kills and a team-high four block assists.

Olivia Wiedower directed the Harding offense with 37 assists and added five kills and two aces. Maegan Lacy paced the Lady Bisons’ back row with 15 digs, while Maddie Burrough and Tatum Fouche contributed 14 and 19 digs, respectively.

The Lady Bisons will look to rebound tonight, hosting their next opponent at the Rhodes-Reaves Field House in Searcy at 6 p.m.
