The Children’s Advocacy Alliance (CAA) will celebrate its 17th Annual Festival of Chairs on Thursday, Oct. 25, at Legacy Acres.

As the regional nonprofit provider of advocacy services for abused and neglected children of Faulkner, Van Buren, Searcy, Conway and Perry counties, the CAA awards one outstanding supporter each year to highlight their impact on the children served through the Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) and the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of the 20th Judicial District. The naming of Honorary Chair of Festival of Chairs is one of the highest levels of accolade one may receive from the CAA.

“As an organization of individuals dedicated to responding to child abuse, we would not be successful without supporters like Jeff and Nancy Hall.

Individuals like Jeff and Nancy are what help our organization be successful in making an impact in this community,” said Tess Fletcher, executive director of the Children’s Advocacy Alliance.

“The Children’s Advocacy Alliance would not be the same without the Halls. They go above and beyond, and have been going above and beyond for years. I can’t express how proud I am to call these two individuals our honorary chairs,” said Leia Smith, development coordinator of the Children’s Advocacy Alliance.

Jeff and Nancy provide continual support to the children served at the CAA through attendance of Festival of Chairs every year, attending the Heroes for Hope Race, providing clothing, food, and school supplies for the children of the CAA, and even going so far as to also volunteer for CASA, according to Fletcher.

“Because of the dedication of Jeff and Nancy Hall, kids have shoes and clothes that fit them; foster children have a voice in court; CAC kids are getting what they need. These people are changing the lives of the kids in our community. They deserve our recognition and thanks at the very least,” said Smith.

In 2017, the Children’s Advocacy Center served 234 children from Faulkner, Van Buren, Searcy, Conway and Pope counties. The Court Appointed Special Advocates provided a voice to 182 children from Faulkner, Van Buren and Searcy counties in 2017. Currently, the Court Appointed Special Advocates are providing voices to 117 foster children in the community.
