CONWAY — The City of Colleges hosted a ground breaking ceremony for Veterans Plaza at Pompe Park yesterday.

It is envisioned to be a space that honors the sacrifices made by veterans and their families in the past, in the present, and into the future. Surrounded by seating and walking paths, the plaza will showcase a monument featuring flags that recognize each military branch and POW/MIA.

The event was attended by city officials, veterans, and interested community members. Veterans Plaza was designed by Rik Sowell Architects, Inc.
