Grand opening celebration for UCA Integrated Health Sciences Building

The University of Central Arkansas Board of Trustees and President Houston Davis will host a grand opening celebration for the new Integrated Health Sciences Building at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. The facility is located on the UCA campus on Bruce Street between Augusta and Western avenues.

Tours of the facility will be from 2:15-3 p.m. The four-story, cutting-edge facility will be home to the School of Nursing, the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, the expanded Nabholz Center for Healthcare Simulation and an Interprofessional Teaching Center to be utilized by the entire college and allow for the expansion of interprofessional learning opportunities. The university broke ground on the facility in October 2019.

Speakers include President Davis; Kay Hinkle, chair of the UCA Board of Trustees; Mary Bane Lackie, vice president for University Advancement; and Matt Troup, president and CEO of Conway Regional Health System. The celebration also includes special gift announcements and guided tours of the facility to showcase its unique operational amenities.

The event is part of the university’s $100 million comprehensive fundraising campaign, UCA Now: Impact Arkansas and Beyond.
