05 Nov 2014 GFWC Century League plans 5K run/walk

The GFWC Century League of Morrilton will host its second annual 5K run/walk fundraiser at 8 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton, 1537 University Blvd.

People of all ages are welcome to participate in the Century League 5K. The entry fee is $25 if pre-registered by Monday, Nov. 3, or $30 until 7:50 a.m. the day of the race. Pre-registered participants are guaranteed to receive a T-shirt. Participants registering after Nov. 3 or on race day will receive a shirt while supplies last.  

Prizes will be awarded to first, second and third place finishers for both male and female divisions, and additional prizes may be awarded based on participation. The 5K will be a ChampionChip timed race.

Participants are asked to bring canned goods on race day for the Conway County Care Center Harvest of Hope food drive. Race proceeds benefit the Century League’s local projects including a scholarship endowment at UACCM, Christmas gifts for children in need and various other philanthropic activities.
