22 Oct 2017 Fundraiser to aid families experiencing perinatal loss

The Kitchen Store & More will hold its 10th Annual Holiday Preview on Thursday, Oct. 26. 

Hosts from throughout the community are coming together for the annual fundraiser from 7 to 9 p.m. at the store, which is located at 704 Locust Ave. 

Every dollar spent at the Kitchen Store that night will go toward funding the Conway Regional Perinatal Bereavement program. The event is hosted by Kitchen Store owner Jeanne Smyers and her daughter Tricia O’Connor, the store manager.

“The month of October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. Each year, in October, the Kitchen Store hosts a raffle and presale event and the proceeds benefit the Perinatal Bereavement Program at Conway Regional,” said Lesly James, perinatal bereavement coordinator at Conway Regional. “We are so honored and blessed that the Smyers family supports the program in such a profound way. Their continued financial support affords us the ability to continue our community outreach i.e.; perinatal bereavement support groups, keepsakes and staff training, all of which are greatly needed to support the families who have suffered these great losses.”

The event also includes a raffle for three different baskets – “Here’s to Your Health,” “Cooking for the Holidays” and “Girls’ Night Out” – all valued at more than $700. Tickets are $2 and can be purchased at the Conway Regional Health Foundation office, The Kitchen Store or from one of the preview hosts, who  include:
