23 Feb 2014 Fundraiser planned for Pulaski Heights Elementary
A night of music, food and vibrant art, Picassos, the primary fundraiser for Pulaski Heights Elementary, returns 6:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 8, to The Museum of Discovery in Downtown Little Rock.
Tickets for the adults-only event are $15 per person in advance or may be purchased for $25 at the door. The evening includes opportunities to bid on art in both a silent and live auction.
In its 14th biennial turn, Picassos has gained a reputation not only as a marvelous celebration of the arts but as a reliable venue to purchase vibrant and coveted artwork created by local and nationally acclaimed artists and craftsmen.
Large group pieces created by PHE students, themed baskets and a “Woo Pig Sooie Tailgate” party also will be auctioned to the highest bidder at this year’s event, themed “Art with Heart.”
In addition to providing needed equipment and supplies for PHE’s art classroom, the funds raised through this event offer the school’s students access to enrichment opportunities including weekly Spanish instruction and annual visits to the Children’s Theater at the Arkansas Arts Center.
