Monica Mathis lives in a beautiful home in the Simmental Valley subdivision near Beaverfork Lake in Faulkner County.

Her children, 8-year-old Matt and 11-year-old Emily, both have their own creative spaces in the house.
Matt’s room is exciting with the realistic artwork of Conway artist Tim Morris, which depicts tall palm trees within a lush jungle. To go along with the jungle scenery, Matt has his very own pet tiger stuffed animal atop a cargo pant style bedspread. He’s ready for any adventure in this space!
Moving down the hall brings one to Emily’s escape in the home. Emily’s space reflects her movement into her teen years with the vibrant purple and pink décor splashed with accents of zebra print.
Emily says her favorite past time is to read in the bed her father, Chris Mathis, made for her. “Fantasy fiction is my favorite type of books,” says Emily.
In addition to the family love built into the bed, Emily’s aunt, April Mathis (TuTuCuteDesigns.blogspot.com) added a touch of inspiration with the design of the personalized canvas above the bed.
Both rooms are sure to provide Matt and Emily with a fun atmosphere to grow up in.
