Fireworks, live music, hot dogs and watermelon are all on tap for the Conway County Fourth of July celebration at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 4, at Cherokee Park on the Arkansas River. Thanks to patriotic volunteers and donors the celebration will remain 100 percent free. Akeem Kemp band will star with jazz, blues, rock and country. Big band and Sinatra style music will also be featured. Fireworks at 9:15 p.m. will be synchronized to music as a grand finale. Contests and games are planned. One hundred and fifty American flags will be displayed.
