17 Dec 2024 Four Harding volleyball players earn Academic All-District honors
SEARCY — Harding University volleyball players Ashley Lamkin, Tatum Fouche, Delaney Garner, and Maegan Lacy were recognized for their academic excellence on Tuesday, earning College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors.
To be eligible for this prestigious award, student-athletes must have reached sophomore status academically and athletically, maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, and played in 90% of their team’s matches or started 66% of them.
Lamkin, a senior middle blocker from Jonesboro, Arkansas, boasts a 3.80 GPA as a biology major. On the court, she led the Great American Conference in blocks per set (1.11) and total blocks (115), earning her 2024 Second Team All-GAC honors.
Fouche, a senior defensive specialist/libero from Frisco, Texas, has maintained an impressive 3.77 undergraduate GPA and 4.00 graduate GPA as a management and business ethics major. She finished fourth in the GAC with 5.22 digs per set and third with 585 total digs, earning her 2024 Second Team All-GAC recognition.
Garner, a senior middle blocker from Fishers, Indiana, has achieved a 3.82 GPA as an exercise science major. She ranked sixth in the GAC with a .305 hitting percentage and 16th with 304 kills, earning her 2024 honorable mention All-GAC honors.
Lacy, a sophomore outside hitter from Wichita Falls, Texas, has maintained a 3.57 GPA as a public administration major. She started in all 31 matches, recording 288 kills and 368 digs.
Lamkin, Fouche, and Garner’s All-Conference status makes them eligible for inclusion on the CSC Academic All-America ballot. The Academic All-America honorees will be announced on January 14, 2025.
