30 Apr 2025 Four Bison Baseball Players earn All-GAC recognition
SEARCY — Harding senior Maddox Long was named the Great American Conference (GAC) Pitcher of the Year for the second consecutive season, headlining a list of four Harding baseball players who received All-GAC honors. Junior Logan Lacey was also named to the GAC All-Defensive Team.

The Bisons finished the regular season with a 34-16 overall record and a 21-12 mark in GAC play. As the No. 4 seed in the GAC tournament, Harding will open tournament play on Thursday, May 1, at 9:30 a.m. against No. 5 seed Ouachita Baptist.
Long, a senior from Morrilton, Arkansas, was a unanimous selection for the Pitcher of the Year award. He was also named to the All-GAC First Team as a starting pitcher. Long posted a 10-3 record on the season with a 1.67 ERA and 105 strikeouts in 86.1 innings pitched.
Junior Logan Lacey, an infielder from North Richland Hills, Texas, also earned a spot on the All-GAC First Team. Lacey led the Bisons with a .352 batting average, 62 hits, and 12 home runs. Lacey was also named to the GAC All-Defensive Team.
Senior Javier Lobo, a relief pitcher from Guatemala City, Guatemala, was selected to the All-GAC Second Team. Lobo recorded four saves and a 2.58 ERA in 38.1 innings.
Junior Collin Helms, a catcher from Lawrenceville, Georgia, received All-GAC Honorable Mention. Helms batted .320 with 38 RBIs.
Several Harding players were also named GAC Elite Scholar Athletes: Maddox Long, Jay Merritt, and Chance Resetich.
