The Pulaski Robinson Senators beat Hamburg, 18-0, in their first game of 2008, but it would be the only win they would manage the entire season.

The Senators were green last fall and forced to start 18 sophomores. Coach Todd Eskola may be able to turn things around in 2009 as 20 starters return.

Senior Justin Williams (5-8, 180) provides a dual-threat at quarterback. Seniors Jeff Lambert (5-10, 175) and Justin Jones (5-6, 170) carry the load at tailback. Senior Tyler O’Neal (6-3, 275) and Leonard Bates (5-10, 280) give the Senators power and experience on the offensive line.

Junior Beau Digby (6-1, 225) and senior Taylor Wisdom (5-7, 155) anchor the defense at linebacker. Digby led the Senators with almost 100 tackles in 2008. Senior Kasey Johnson (6-0, 160) returns at cornerback after an injury-shortened 2008 season.

Magnolia and Pulaski Academy lead a deep 5A-Southwest. The Senators have to jump over Little Rock Christian or Camden Fairview to earn a berth to the state playoffs.
