The North Pulaski Falcons started 2008 off on the right foot with a 21-15 win at Searcy.

It would, however, be North Pulaski’s only win of the season.

The Falcons closed 2008 with nine straight losses and scored less than 20 points in eight of those defeats.

Newly-hired coach Ricky Russell takes over a squad desperate for some success.

Senior Marshall Shipley (6-2, 190) returns at tight end.

Senior Darius Cage (6-1, 225) provides power at tailback and linebacker. John Osmun (6-0, 200) gives the Falcons depth on defense. The senior can play multiple positions, including linebacker and end.

Monticello and Sylvan Hills lead the pack in the 5A-Southeast, but the Falcons have a shot to battle their way into the top four.
