The Little Rock McClellan Lions haven’t made the playoffs since 2003. McClellan finished 2-8 in 2008, managing only one win in the 5A-Southeast.

The Lions managed an anemic 4.5 points per game during their six-game losing streak to end the season.

Senior quarterback Terrance Ingram (6-1, 175) returns after starting six games in 2008. Senior Cleo Gray (5-11, 215) returns in the backfield. The tailback rushed for 350 yards in an injury-shortened 2008.

Kris Pettis (5-8, 175) leads the defense from the secondary. The athletic senior starts at cornerback. Senior Darrien Mackey (5-10, 235) provides power on both sides of the ball, running through defenders at fullback and running backs down at linebacker.

The Lions will battle with Monticello, Sylvan Hills, White Hall and Beebe in the 5A-Southeast.
