After managing only two wins in the past two seasons, the Arkansas Baptist Eagles bounced back in 2008 with a 7-4 record and a trip to the state playoffs.
The Eagles fell against Atkins, 38-20, in the first round.
Senior quarterback Logan Quinn (5-10, 190) returns for his third year at quarterback. Last year, Quinn led a powerful Eagle offense, which averaged 32 points per game. Senior Joe Ochterbeck (6-1, 210) leads the Eagles’ offensive line.
Senior Danny Aday (5-11, 180) returns for his third year in the secondary at cornerback. Ochterbeck mans one defensive end position, and senior Garrison Holt (6-1, 185) brings speed on the edge at outside linebacker.
The Eagles return 14 starters, but even with those numbers, they face a talented 5-3A that includes Fountain Lake, Bauxite and Glen Rose. The Eagles also face a tough start to the season; Arkansas Baptist doesn’t have home game until October.
