NORTH LITTLE ROCK — The New Hope Baptist Church Social Service Ministry will give food away starting at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26, at New Hope Baptist Church,1821 Edmonds St.

Under the leadership of Pastor Dr. George Shears III, New Hope Baptist serves the community of North Little Rock with food giveaways on the fourth Thursday of the month. Last year, they served 1,752 families and provided 83,797 pounds of food. Members donated 2,124 volunteer hours.

“The project is overseen by the Social Services Ministry, which has a mission to provide hope, help and guidance by addressing the holistic needs of people in our church and out in the community, by sharing the love of Christ in a tangible way,” said Dr. April Shepard DHA, MS, BSRT (R) (CT).
