Five-Oh-Ones to Watch 2026: The Weather Watchers

The Arkansas Weather Network, a cutting-edge digital weather platform founded by Forecaster Zachary Hall and Meteorologist James Bryant launched Dec. 13, bringing Arkansans a new level of real-time, localized, life-saving weather coverage designed to meet viewers wherever they are.

Hall and Bryant, co-owners, are joined by Meteorologist Blaze Thomas. The Arkansas Weather Network is a 24/7 digital weather platform whose goal is to deliver accurate, accessible, life-saving weather information to communities across Arkansas.

“Our coverage to all corners, all counties, every community is important to us,” Hall said. “We hear often that people feel ‘left out’ outside of the larger population centers.”

Through streaming content, social media engagement and educational outreach, AWN connects Arkansans with weather coverage that keeps them informed, prepared and connected.

“I grew up in North Little Rock and have witnessed all that this state can throw at us when it comes to weather,” Bryant said. “Ice/snowstorms, droughts, floods and tornadoes make Central Arkansas one of the most unique spots for weather in the entire country … Central Arkansas is often the “battleground” for air masses with mountain ranges to the west and northwest and flatlands to the east and southeast.

“We have no … one else to toss to, and if the weather is dangerous, we will be covering our towns no matter how big or small.”

Hall and Bryant, who are well-known across the region for their weather updates and extensive social media reach, have built loyal followings that extend beyond Arkansas.

Meteorologist Blaze Thomas’ home and church were hit by a tornado in 2013. “Seeing firsthand how quickly lives can change is what sparked my passion for weather,” he said. “During that time, our community showed overwhelming support. I got involved in Ham Radio and Skywarn soon after, which deepened my love for weather and communication. It’s an honor to use this role to serve the same kind of communities that once lifted me up.

First Community Bank recently announced its partnership as the premier sponsor of AWN. “First Community Bank is proud to support the Arkansas Weather Network as it launches this exciting new platform,” said Dale Cole, chairman and chief executive officer. “Partnering with them as they expand this mission aligns perfectly with our values of community service and innovation.”

Through its digital network and forthcoming app, Arkansas Weather Network will provide 24/7 streaming coverage of both severe and routine weather across the state, connecting viewers through live reports, educational features and easy-to-access mobile updates.

“We’re thrilled to officially launch the Arkansas Weather Network with First Community Bank as our premier partner,” said Hall. “This partnership allows us to deliver more reliable and far-reaching weather information to the communities we care about most.” “The app is available for download on iOS and Android devices.
