Five-Oh-Ones to Watch 2026: Reagan Garber

By Rita Halter Thomas

Driven by a heart for people and an early love of math and science, Reagan Garber, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), chose her career in family medicine to serve and care for patients in all stages of life. At Conway Regional Greenbrier Family Medicine, she focuses on disease prevention as much as treating acute illnesses and chronic medical conditions.

Initially, Garber majored in biomedical engineering, but she wanted to do something more than work in a lab. “I went on several medical mission trips throughout high school and college, and through those experiences I was able to see how, through medicine, you are truly able to serve and care for others,” she said. “Medicine gave me the opportunity to use my love for science in a way to impact others on a daily basis.”

Garber credits her parents as her biggest inspiration. “They embody true selflessness and strength,” she said. Her faith also inspires her, and a favorite Bible verse is found in John 16:33: “In this world you will have trouble, but take heart, for I have overcome the world.”

Born and raised in Greenbrier, Garber lives in Enola with her husband, Terrin Garber, and their two children: a daughter, Parker Jean Garber, and a son, Bryant Garber. “Being a mom will always be my greatest accomplishment,” she said.

Throughout her three-year family medicine residency at Conway Regional Health System, she planned to return to Greenbrier to serve and give back to the community that raised her, she said. “I had a lot of people who invested in me as a teenager, and I think it’s a priority to give back and be a role model for the younger generation.”

Garber doesn’t just impact lives as a doctor, but also as a pastor’s wife serving alongside and supporting her husband in his role as the youth pastor at Mount Vernon Baptist Church. “We spend a lot of our time mentoring and supporting our students, grades 7–12,” she said.

Additionally, Garber can be found working on the sidelines of the Greenbrier High School football games and conducting sports and band member physicals. “I am the product of so many wonderful people in Central Arkansas [who] have invested in my life as a child, teenager, medical student and as an adult professional,” she said. “It is the greatest honor and responsibility to now be able to give back to this community.” She added that the community is full of hard-working, genuine and caring people who she calls family.

In her free time, Garber enjoys spending time chasing her kids, cheering for the Razorbacks in all sports and running.

She is known to many as a daughter, a doctor, a wife, a mother and a volunteer. Her desire is to simply be known by all as someone who truly cares. With a heart as big as the zip code, this Five-Oh-One-to-Watch is well on her way.
