Five-Oh-Ones to Watch 2026: Bo Cunningham

You could probably describe Bo Cunningham as a born entrepreneur since, at only age 22, he is working full-time in a company he started as a sophomore at the University of Central Arkansas (UCA). Arkansas REM (Real Estate Media) offers photography, videography, aerial media, floor plans and 3D tours for real estate professionals.

“I’ve always loved photography and videography,” he said. “Throughout high school at Conway Christian, I was heavily involved in the yearbook staff, and I even made promo videos for the school. Since then, I knew I always wanted to have a career in media.”

While still at UCA, Cunningham won his division in the Arkansas Governor’s Cup, a statewide business plan competition, for an overview of Arkansas REM — which he was already busy running. After thinking he was too busy to make a formal plan and presentation, he ultimately decided it was worth a shot after the urging of Dr. Ron Duggins and other professors. Cunningham said he completed his business plan the night before it was due and submitted it minutes before the deadline. After pitching it to the judges in Little Rock and winning, he said he may not have prepared for the competition as much as he should, but his countless hours building the business were all the preparation he needed. Since then, he said he has been blessed to photograph more than 2,000 listings for more than 350 real estate professionals in Central Arkansas.

Actually, Arkansas REM is Cunningham’s second venture into the business world. He and his brother, Marshall, were still in high school when they combined their talents to form Cunningham Creatives, which offered digital content for local small businesses.

“Through that venture, we learned all about business, how tough it can be, but also how deeply fulfilling it can be to truly help people,” Cunningham said. “We worked with several small businesses, helping them with digital content to help boost visibility. During college, we decided to end that business as Marshall went on to open a bookstore and I began looking into real estate media.”

It was a personal experience while looking for a home that pushed him into creating Arkansas REM. “What really drew me to the industry was the fact that when I bought my first home, I almost didn’t even look at it,” Cunningham said. “The listing agent had taken pictures with their phone, and the angles made the home look way worse than it did in person. Several price drops later, I decided it might be worth checking out. I realized that it looked way better in person, and I feel like I got a great deal on it, all because of the photos! That was the instant I knew that there was a need in the market that I could try my best to meet.”

Starting the business is something he’s never regretted. “I genuinely love what I do every single day,” he said. “A lot of times, moving or selling a home isn’t the best situation. I make it my mission to leave every home I photograph better than I find it and to make a positive impact on everyone I interact with.”

When he’s not creating content for real estate professionals, you may find Cunningham in a garage fixing up cars with his friend Caulder for their YouTube Channel, Gen Z Garage. He and his wife, Ally, live in Conway, volunteer at Greenbrier First Methodist Church and enjoy playing tennis and exploring Arkansas.
