February issue of 501 LIFE to be featured on Channel 4

The February “Celebrating art” edition of 501 LIFE will be highlighted on KARK Channel 4 during the 12:30 p.m. show on Tuesday, Jan. 31.

Each month, 501 LIFE publisher and editor Sonja Keith presents information about the current edition during the Channel 4 segment.

“501 LIFE is all about the arts in its latest issue,” said Keith. “The many artists and musicians in the 501 are real treasures, adding beauty, entertainment, enjoyment and meaning to ‘Loving LIFE’ – it was an honor to recognize them in this issue!”

This month’s cover features Conway artist Bryan Winfred Massey Sr., who will join Keith for the segment. A professor at the University of Central Arkansas, one of Massey’s latest works – “Otis the bear” – can be seen perched on the side of the new Donaghey Hall at Donaghey Avenue and Bruce Street on the UCA campus.

“In the February issue, Massey shares his background and the obstacles he has overcome to be a successful artist,” Keith said. “We want to thank Bryan and our friends at Art on the Green in Conway for their help with this month’s edition.”

To see more of Massey’s work, visit the Art on the Green gallery in Conway or artonthegreen.net.

In addition to the live KARK broadcast, the 501 LIFE segment can be seen on the station’s website – arkansasmatters.com.
