08 Jun 2011 Faulkner Girl Scouts recognized for cookie sales

Girl Scouts in Faulkner County sold 81,060 boxes of cookies this year, and 41 girls were recently recognized by the Faulkner Service Unit of the Diamonds of Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas Girl Scout Council for their outstanding cookie sales.

The generosity of Faulkner County toward Girl Scouting is outstanding. The Girl Scouts want to give back – 1760 boxes of cookies were collected by the girls for Gifts of Caring. The cookies were given to the Red Cross, Bethlehem House, Children’s Hospital, Haven House, Salem United Methodist Church Pantry, the Senior Center, the police and firemen, military oversees and Veterans’ hospitals and clinics. Troop 6178, led by Wendy Kulpinski, organized for the delivery of the cases of cookies to our military oversees.

Those girls recognized for attaining the level of Cookie Brigade, which is 400 to 599 boxes, included Kayla Stahl, Troop 6033; Chloe Robertson, Troop 6120; Kylie Hess, Troop 6120; Shelby Reed, Troop 6120; Skye James, Troop 6688; Joniya Flowers, Troop 6711; Tori Burton, Troop 6711; Ella Imboden, Troop 6746; Chloe Casson, Troop 6785; Alyssa Puff, Troop 6791; Jada Halley, Troop 6792; Kalista Pettus, Troop 6033; Adrianna Acord-Olds, Troop 6699; Kate Freyaldenhoven, Troop 6641; Iesha Earnest, Troop 6152; Jennifer Slayton, Troop 6819; Raelynn Stone, Troop 6740; Micah Sardinha, Troop 6452; Jenni Lane, Troop 6621; Payton Brady, Troop 6717; Angelina Osborn, Troop 6080; Chloe McCrory, Troop 6744; McKenzie Bernardini, Troop 6250; Katelyn Foster, Troop 6678; Maddison Hulslander, Troop 6717; Brittney Sim, Troop 6152; Ashten Yarberry, Troop 6687; Breanna McLaughlin, Troop 6178; Cassie Deierlein, Troop 6792; Ashley Moore, Troop 6620; Emma Tarkka, Troop 6678; and Lainey Wilson, Troop 6621.

Those girls reaching the Super Seller level of 600 to 999 boxes were Katherine Grigg, Troop 6120; Amy Gericke, Troop 6711; Madison Stroth, Troop 6791; Abigail Duvall, Troop 6707; Sarah Kemp, Troop 6717; Melanie Dickey, Troop 6203; Jasmine Presley, Troop 6152; and Alexandra Taschuk, Troop 6707.

Aaryanna Janowiecki, Troop 6120, reached the 1,000-box Club level by selling 1,000 boxes of cookies.

Proceeds from cookie sales go to continued programming for Girl Scouts. With each box purchased, a portion of the proceeds remain with that girl’s troop. Other proceeds help the Faulkner Service Unit and the Diamonds of Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas Council provide educational and enriching activities for girls.
