Fashion show benefits Conway Cradle Care

The Tots to Teens & Teachers Fashion Show will be held noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at First Presbyterian Church, 2400 Prince St. in Conway.

The trendy event features fashion from Conway designer Ivy Rose as well as some of Conway’s most stylish stores like Grand on Oak, Lefler’s, Branch Out, HipSway, Monrow Boutique, Mary’s Boutique, JC Penney and Rhea Lana’s.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. For advance tickets and more information, contact Glenda Schmidt at [email protected].

Sponsors include Bob and Glenda Schmidt, Smith Ford, Caldwell Toyota Scion, Conway Children’s Clinic, Arkansas Pediatrics, Freeman Family Medicine, US Compounding, Sen. Jason Rapert, Simmons First National Bank, First Security Bank and First Service Bank.

In addition to the fashion show, guests will have a wide variety of items that are available through raffles and a silent auction. Selections include retail items, professional services, jewelry, entertainment and something for the kids.

Proceeds benefit Conway Cradle Care (CCC), a program established in 1995 to assist teen parents, who are more at risk of dropping out of school. CCC provides mentoring and parent training, and seeks to reduce teen pregnancies because Arkansas has the highest birthrates in the country for girls ages 15 to 17. Part of CCC’s mission is to reduce teen pregnancy through education and life skills courses.
