A variety of entertaining performances are on tap during the 2009-2010 season through the University of Central Arkansas Public Appearances.
Eight events are planned in the Reynolds Performance Hall on the UCA campus.

The four events for the fall include:

“An Evening with Kevin Eubanks” – 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19.

“A Folk Reunion” with The Kingston Trio, The Limeliters and The Brothers Four – 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22.
The King’s Singers – 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3.

“A Viennese Christmas” with the New Sigmund Romberg Orchestra and Soloists – 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6.
An Evening with Marvin Hamlisch and the Conway Symphony Orchestra at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, will lead off the spring schedule, followed by “Cabaret” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 5; Spencer’s “Theatre of Illusion” at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 13; and the Moscow Festival Ballet in

“Sleeping Beauty” at 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 26.

Best known as the band leader for Jay Leno’s “Tonight Show,” Kevin Eubanks is first and foremost a jazz musician. With more than 20 CDs to his credit, he has also taught at the Banff Centre for the Arts and at Rutgers University.

Three of the greatest legends of the folk era come together in “A Folk Reunion.” Among them, the Kingston Trio, the Limeliters and the Brothers

Four accounted for more than half of the hits from the folk era, including “Hang Down Your Head, Tom Dooley,” “The Green Leaves of Summer” and “There’s a Meetin’ Here Tonight.”

For more than 30 years, the King’s Singers have been delighting audiences around the world with their incomparable musicianship and a repertoire ranging from mediaeval to renaissance, romantic to contemporary, and folk and pop. They have performed in most of the world’s leading concert halls as well as in many European cathedrals, the Hollywood Bowl and Shea Stadium. They have recorded more than 70 albums, including albums with the London Symphony Orchestra, the BBC Concert Orchestra and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
