by Austin DuVall
Elvis Lives!, a musical journey through the life of rock n’ roll’s greatest performer, will be at the University of Central Arkansas’s Donald W. Reynolds Performance Hall at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28.
“Elvis lovers will not be disappointed with this dynamic show that celebrates the life of the beloved entertainer,” said Amanda Horton, director of UCA Public Appearances. “The three Elvis tribute artists have true talent and will take you back in time to celebrate his musical career with stunning costumes, amazing vocals, a live band and rarely seen footage.”
The three tribute artists — Bill Cherry, Jay Dupuis and Dean Z — have all been finalists and champions from Elvis Presley Enterprises’ annual, worldwide Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artists Contest in Memphis.
Along with the live band, dancers and backup singers, Carol Maccri will also take the stage appearing as Ann-Margret, Presley’s co-star in the 1964 comedy-musical, “Viva Las Vegas.”
Tickets are $30-40 for the general public and $10 for students. For tickets, call UCA Ticket Central Box Office at 501.450.3265 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday or toll free from anywhere in Arkansas at 1.866.810.0012 or visit uca.edu/reynolds.
