12 Aug 2011 Electric late fees suspended for August, September
The Conway City Council recently approved Conway Corporation’s request to suspend late payment fees for residential electric customers during the months of August and September.
The request was presented to the council during its August 9 meeting by Conway Corporation CEO Richard Arnold.
“We have had an extremely hot summer,” said Arnold. “And, we know that this will mean higher electric bills, and more families that may have a hard time paying their bills on time.
“We want to work with customers who are behind, and waiving late fees in August and September may give them some relief."
Late fees are accrued for electric bills that are more than 20 days past due.
