07 Oct 2018 ‘Dracula’ planned at UCA
Ballet Arkansas will present Dracula, based on Bram Stoker’s telling of the story, at the University of Central Arkansas’s Reynolds Performance Hall at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14.
Dracula is a full-length story ballet that features breathtaking original choreography by Artistic Director Michael Fothergill. Combining the beauty of visual art and mixed multimedia, Dracula tells the story of love and loss, all while keeping the audience on the edge of its seats. Dracula is family-friendly and appropriate for all ages; however, it is a Halloween tale.
For 40 years, Ballet Arkansas has been the foremost professional ballet company in the state, performing classical and contemporary works by world-renowned choreographers.
“This event is not only going to be visually spectacular, but it is also special in that it is a benefit for our Main Stage EdUCAtion Series,” said Amanda Horton, director of Reynolds Performance Hall. “Ticket proceeds go to support our Main Stage program, which brings educational and entertaining shows to area students, sometimes providing them with their first trip to the theatre and even tickets for those in need.”
Tickets range from $30-$40 for the general public and $10 for students and children. Senior and military discounts are available. Call UCA Ticket Central at 501.450.3265 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, or toll-free from anywhere in Arkansas at 1.866.810.0012 or visit uca.edu./reynolds.
