Dr. Wendy Ward joins Winthrop Rockefeller Institute board 

PETIT JEAN MOUNTAIN — The Winthrop Rockefeller Institute is pleased to announce Dr. Wendy Ward, associate provost for faculty at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), has accepted a three-year appointment to our board of directors. 

In her university role, Dr. Ward oversees the UAMS Faculty Center, a centralized resource for faculty affairs, development, and wellness. Under her leadership, the Faculty Center supports UAMS faculty at all stages of their careers and provides guidance on advancement and professional growth. Dr. Ward also oversees the UAMS Office of Continuing Education, ensuring education opportunities are readily available to the campus community, and is a tenured professor in the Department of Pediatrics.

The Institute is a 509(a)(3) proud supporting organization of the University of Arkansas System. In 2005, the Winthrop Rockefeller Charitable Trust, in coordination with the University of Arkansas System, established the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute and has since supported the Institute’s operations and programmatic activity. Five of the nine Institute board members are appointed by Dr. Donald R. Bobbitt, president of the University of Arkansas System.
