27 Oct 2014 Downtown Morrilton to host Monsters on Main Street

Downtown Morrilton is gearing up for its annual Halloween celebration – Monsters on Main Street – on Friday Oct. 31. According to Main Street Morrilton organizer Sherrie Sowers, the event will be held 4 to 6 p.m. Activities are planned in the area of the pocket park at Moose and Commerce streets, but participants will be able to “trick or treat” at businesses throughout downtown.

The event has been held for more than 16 years and an estimated 2,000 attended last year.

A costume contest will be held at 6 p.m. at the Rialto Theater.

The event is free. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
