28 Oct 2013 Downtown Morrilton to host Monsters on Main Street
Downtown Morrilton is gearing up for its annual Halloween celebration – Monsters on Main Street – on Thursday, Oct. 31.
According to organizer Stephanie Lipsmeyer, the event will be held 4 to 6 p.m. Activities are planned in the area around the train depot, but participants will be able to “trick or treat” at businesses throughout downtown.
The event has been held for more than 15 years and an estimated 1,700 attended last year.
A costume contest will be held at 6 p.m. at the Rialto Theater.
The event is free. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
