18 Nov 2019 Downtown Morrilton plans Holiday Open House
Merchants in Downtown Morrilton will host the annual Holiday Open House on Sunday, Nov. 24.
Participating merchants and organizations will be open between 1 and 5 p.m. Hours may vary for each shop.
The Downtown Holiday Open House is a Christmas tradition in Morrilton that takes place annually on the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Shops in downtown will be decked out for the holidays and offer special promotions and treats for customers.
“We encourage everyone to ‘keep the cheer here’ this season and shop our local merchants for unique gifts for all of your friends and family,” said Main Street Morrilton Board Member Stephanie Lipsmeyer. “We are so pleased to be able to work with the downtown business owners and local artisans to help promote this event!”
Join the “Downtown Morrilton Holiday Open House” event on the Main Street Morrilton Facebook page for more information on promotions and hours for participating businesses.
Additional activities taking place during the open house include a Local Artisan Pop-Up-Shop at the Morrilton Area Chamber of Commerce and a visit with Santa at the Crow Group Headquarters at 210 N. Moose St. Shoppers are welcome to pop in for a building tour, hot chocolate, cookies and a visit with Santa from 1 to 3 p.m. There will also be a public comment station at the Mitchell Building Lot on the corner of Moose and Commerce streets from 1 to 3 p.m. The public is invited to share ideas on how they would use the space to help guide the development committee.
Main Street’s Shop Small Bingo will kick off on Shop Small Saturday, Nov. 30. Bingo cards and rules will be available at participating merchants.
Merchants will also remain open until 7 p.m. for First Thursday on Dec. 5, during the Morrilton Christmas Parade.
