19 Jan 2015 Di Wu to perform concert at Harding

Di Wu will perform at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, in Harding University’s Administration Auditorium as part of the University’s concert series.

Di Wu, a Chinese-American pianist finalist in the 2009 Van Cliburn Competition and winner of the Juilliard School’s Petschek Award and Virtuosi Prize at Lisbon’s prestigious Vendome Competition, is currently based in New York. Wu is praised in the Wall Street Journal as “a most mature and sensitive pianist” and named one of the “up-and-coming talents” in classical music.

Her program includes Sergei Prokofiev’s “10 Pieces from Romeo and Juliet” and Claude Debussy’s “Preludes, Book 1.”

General admission tickets for this event are $3 and will be available at door. The department of music office, located in the Reynolds Center for Music and Communication, will distribute tickets.
