DBS hosts charity ball

The Faulkner County chapter of Delta Beta Sigma recently hosted a charity ball, with money raised at the event benefitting the group’s national charity, the ALS Foundation for Life.

The theme for the event – held at the Train Station in Little Rock – was “Charity Ball on the Red Carpet – Walking for ALS.”

Members decided to forgo corsages and boutonnieres for the evening and instead donated the cost of the items – $30 – to the charity fund. Tables could also be purchased in memory or honor of someone. The ball raised $4,000.

The sorority hopes to collect $10,000 by the end of the year, with additional fundraising activities planned.

There are about 190 members in DBS, with girls in the 10th through 12th grade. Natalie Lea and Kristie Ross are the head moms this year for the sorority. For more information on how to donate, please contact Kristie at 501.529.5222.
