United Way of Central Arkansas will help the local community through its Day of Caring event Friday Sept. 21.

Day of Caring is an event in which volunteers come and are assigned to multiple sites in the community and help complete projects requested by several organizations. Through volunteered services, the United Way creates positive connections within the community as well as helping the community move forward.

Several sites needing volunteer services are Conway Public Schools, Faulkner County Council on Aging, Conway Human Development Center, City of Conway and many others.

Volunteers will meet at Simon Park at 805 Front St. in Downtown Conway. The kickoff, breakfast and site assignments start at 8:30 a.m. The project kickoff is at 9:30.
