Job: Registered nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.

Parents: Bob and Teresa Wood of Maumelle.

Hobbies/special interests: Going to the lake in the summer, decorating our new home, spending time with my twin nephews, hunting and fishing with Matt.

How would you describe yourself: Fun loving, outgoing and kind hearted.

Favorite restaurant in the 501: Macaroni Grill or Copeland’s.

Most enjoyed weekend activity: Spending time with my family and Matt’s family, going to dinner with friends or just hanging out with Matt.

What do you love about living in the 501: I love the small town feel, the restaurants and the overall beauty of Central Arkansas. I especially love the feel of when the Hogs are in town!

Native of: Pine Bluff.

Where did you grow up: White Hall.

Education: 2004 graduate of White Hall High School; 2008 graduate of the University of Arkansas at Monticello with bachelor of science degree in business administration.

Job: Operator 1 at Southwest Power Pool in Little Rock.

Parents: Frank and Jo Ann Bowers of White Hall.

Hobbies/special interests: Hunting, fishing, playing softball and spending time with my wife.

How would you describe yourself: Fun to be around, and I get along with everyone.

Favorite restaurant in the 501: Copeland’s.

Most enjoyed weekend activity: During winter time: hunting. Spring time: fishing. During summer: going to the lake.

What do you love about living in the 501: Convenient to everything.

Church activities: Active members of the Young Married Sunday school class and members of Cedar Heights Baptist Church in North Little Rock.

How we met: We met through a mutual friend who set us up on a blind date.

The proposal: Sept. 3, 2011, at Karen’s late grandparents’ cabin on Lake Nimrod.

Wedding bells: June 16, 2012, at Cedar Heights Baptist Church in North Little Rock.

Honeymoon: Caribbean Island of Turks and Caicos.

Pets: Our beloved 8-year-old black lab, Daisy Bowers.

Family activities enjoyed together: Spending time with family and friends, taking Daisy on walks, going on date nights and just being with each other.
