HIM Paul Zimmerman
Native of: Oppelo (Conway County).
Education: Bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering, Arkansas Tech University.
Job: Project engineer for Koontz Electric in Morrilton.
Parents: David and Juanise Zimmerman of Oppelo.
Community activities: President of the Morrilton Country Club, President of Lions Club and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Hobbies/special interests: Golf and fishing.
How would you describe yourself: Small town guy who loves living and working in my hometown.
Favorite restaurant in the 501: Besides Juanise’s or Morgan’s kitchen, I would say Pasta Grill.
Most enjoyed weekend activity: Any golf tournament.
Favorite quote: Anything from a movie that I can fit into a conversation.
What do you love about living in the 501: Family. The 501 is where all my family have been raised, and most are still around. It is where all my friends have become like family. I wouldn’t be anywhere else.
HER Morgan Zimmerman
Native of: Altus (Franklin County).
Education: Bachelor of arts in communication from Arkansas Tech University.
Job: Development officer, University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton.
Parents: Tom and Therese Timmerman of Altus.
Community activities: Morrilton Century League, Morrilton Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Main Street Morrilton board and the Morrilton Country Club Ladies Golf Association.
Hobbies/special interests: Gardening, canning, baking, sewing and yarn crafts, reading, cooking, snow sports, yoga and craft beer.
How would you describe yourself: Mostly easy-going, but I like to stay busy, organized and get things done. I also always like to have my hand in something creative.
Favorite restaurant in the 501: If I’m being honest, Chick-fil-A.
Most enjoyed weekend activity: Just being at home is probably my favorite weekend activity. If I’m getting out of the house, it has to be the farmer’s market, brunch on a patio somewhere or a road trip to Altus to visit my parents.

What do you love about living in the 501: It’s beautiful here! We are close to all of our family and a short drive from just about any activity we could want to do (except the snow sports).

How we met: St. Leo’s Catholic Center at Arkansas Tech University.
The proposal: Down on one knee at midnight on New Year’s Eve in front of a house full of family and friends.
Wedding bells: Oct. 10, 2009, at St. Mary’s Church in Altus.
Children: One-year-old Margo Louise Zimmerman.
Family activities enjoyed together: Golf, Sunday lunch, cooking and just hanging out. We are homebodies! Especially now with a toddler, most of our activities include watching her discover the world around her.
